The Mato Household holds a Halloween party but everyone gets a little too into character.
“Professor, hurry up! It’s almost time for the show to start!” Diana
paws at Mato as he rigs some kind of technological monstrosity onto the
TV. Jake, Yuta, Katia, and Mina sit semi-patiently on the couch.
“Now,
now,” Mato warns, “remember what happened last time I rushed creating
one of my inventions?” The teenagers’ eyes fill with the image of a
mushroom cloud.
“Take your time!!!” They all shout.
“No worries,” Mato smiles, “it’s done.”
“Yay!” Yuta cheers.
“Excellent,” Katia approves.
“Finally!” Diana gasps.
“What the heck is this supposed to do anyway?” Mina asks, “And what does it have to do with our favorite show, Stranded?”
“Glad
you asked,” Mato grabs the remote from Diana before the kitty girl, can
turn on the TV. Diana lets out a hiss. “I got to thinking about this
so-called ‘reality’ television you like so much.” Mato turns on the TV
just in time for the show Stranded to begin.
“We take a plane full of
‘contestants’ and intentionally crash it on a desert island to see who
makes it off the island and who is left… Stranded!”
“This has to be the greatest show ever!” Diana’s tail swings with joy. “I wish I could be there.”
“Well,”
Mato attaches the remote to a much larger and more complicated remote,
“with my new invention, reality television will never be more… real!!!”
Mato goes to flip the switch on the remote and Jake squints and plugs
his ears. A charge of energy flies from the remote to the antennae of
the large device Mato installed onto the TV. The device begins to
vibrate to life and spin, as electrical currents shoot up the antennae.
The room is suddenly filled with a ball of energy and objects begin to
materialize. In a flash, the room is transformed into an island jungle,
with bugs and trees filling the entire mansion.
“Whoa,” is all Jake can squeak out.
“Did
this thing take us back in time or something?” The befuddled elf
princess asks. Everyone looks around the house from their couch
surrounded by trees, until a voice brings their attention forward again.
“I mean it, Kelly, I want off this island.”
“Ohmygawd!
It’s Lisa and Kelly from Stranded!!! How did they get in here?” Diana
asks in awe as the two gorgeous contestants stand before them.
“Actually,” Kelly, the tall, purple haired elf replies, “I was starting to like it here.”
“It works!” Mato proclaims, “I’m a genius!”
Diana walks up to her idols and waves her paw in front of their eyes. “Are they here or are we there?” Diana questions.
“Neither,” the professor answers, “my invention has created a virtual reality of your reality television show.”
Thunder
rumbles and rain starts to pour inside the house. The two contestants
run into the woods for cover with Diana prancing behind, as Jake and the
girls on the couch sit and soak with unhappy looks on their faces.
“I guess you’ve outdone yourself again, Professor,” Mina pays Mato a compliment.
“I know! I’m a genius!”
An
hour later, the show is over and Mato turns off the device. The house
reverts back to normal, but puddles remain on the floor, and Jake and
the girls look like they just spent 3 days on a desert island.
Diana
jumps up and hugs Mato. “That is your best invention ever,” she mews,
and licks Mato’s cheek with her prickly tongue, eliciting a yelp from
the professor. “I am gonna be over every week to watch Stranded with you
guys.”
“Great,” Jake rolls his eyes as he wrings more water out of his now tattered shirt.
“Stranded will be back in two weeks! Stay tuned next week for YotoTV’s Halloween dance party bash!”
“Awww,” Diana pouts, “two weeks?”
“You celebrate Halloween in this dimension?” Jake asks the girls.
“Of
course, silly,” Jen walks up with a mop to attend to the puddles. Jake
turns around to listen to the genie. “The Halloween celebration
transcends dimensions, and us girls were even planning on putting on a
huge costume party to celebrate this year.”
“What were you planning on wearing for your costume, beloved?” Katia asks, clinging onto Jakes arm.
“I don’t know,” Jake shrugs, “I hadn’t really planned on it.”
“I have an idea…”
“Nooooooo,”
Jake cries, as he finds himself once again surrounded by every girl
from the Mato house, unable to escape his fate in the ‘Mall from Hell.’
“It’s just a trip to the costume shoppe,” Katia winks, “ and just wait until you see the special costume I ordered for you.”
The
group arrives at the shop, and the male customers’ jaws drop at the
sight of the ten beauties surrounding Jake. A smile creeps across Jake’s
face as he realizes for a moment that going on a shopping trip isn’t
bad when it looks like you look like you brought your own personal harem
of hot chicks. The girls soon scatter to search for that perfect
costume, as Katia drags Jake to the cashier.
“I’m here for the special order costumes,” Katia announces. “It’s listed under ‘Her Royal Majesty, Princess Katia.’”
“Ah,
yes Highness,” the male elf clerk bows, “this was sent express from
your kingdom last night.” He pulls two large boxes from behind the
counter, one that says ‘King’ and another that reads ‘Queen’ on the box.
“Oh, no,” Jake panics, “I’m not letting you live out your twisted fantasy on a night meant for rotten eggs and candy.”
Katia
frowns. “You said you didn’t even have a plan, and I went through all
this trouble to get the royal court to create our own special costumes
and send them here immediately. A few peasants even work3ed so hard on
sewing these last night, they had to be taken to the hospital.”
“That sounds horrible,” Jake gasps.
“I know,” Katia agrees. “But don’t worry; we made sure to dock the lost time off their wages while we looked for replacements.”
Elsewhere
in the shoppe, Sarah flipped through a costume rack, looking for the
perfect outfit when a black and white striped jump suit was dangled in
front of her.
“Get that out of the way,” Sarah slaps at the outfit, revealing a smirking Dawn.
“C’mon copper, pretend to be on the other side of the coin for once.”
“No
thanks, but you can go ahead and get it for yourself, because you’ll
need practice for the real prison I’ll be fitting you for soon enough.”
“Oh,
you’re no fun,” Dawn licks the back of Sarah’s neck, causing her to
freak out trying to wipe it off. “Halloween is about being something
you’re not, for a change.”
“Well, I think I can find something cuter,
at least.” Sarah finishes wiping her neck and shoos Dawn away. “You can
go on and be the opposite of whatever it is you are. It would be a nice
change.”
Dawn rolls her eyes and turns away, spotting Lucia, setting
off a light bulb in her brain. Dawn walks up to Lucia, who just stands
in the middle of the room overwhelmed by the whole idea of dressing up
as someone else.
“What’s wrong Angle-Baby?” Dawn slithers, tracing her fingers around Lucia’s chin.
“I don’t know what to do,” says the angel, not catching on to Dawn’s come-ons. “I have no idea what costume to choose.”
“I think I have an idea,” Dawn says, quickly grabbing a couple of costumes off a rack and pulling Lucia to the dressing room.
A few hours later, all the girls leave the mall with their costumes all under wraps.
“So what did everyone choose?” Jake asks.
“You’ll find out before the party,” Jen says, “it’s more fun if it’s a surprise.”
Jake began picturing his ladies in all sorts of sexy outfits, barely able to contain himself.
“I can’t wait.”
“I
can’t wait any longer,” Jake begs as he follows Jen around the house.
“It’s been Halloween day all day long. Is it time to put on our costumes
yet?”
“I guess, but I have to decorate the house for the party first.”
“That’s going to take…”
Jen
nods her head and twirls her hand in the air, and the house is
instantly coated in spider webs, jack-o’-lanterns, and skeletons.
“…hours.”
Jen
and Jake step into the living room where all the girls have gathered.
“Attention ladies,” Jen claps her hands, “Jake has requested a fashion
show. Grab your costumes!”
The girls all laugh and scramble for their
boxes and out of the room. Katia sits down on the couch with Jake who
is as giddy as a schoolgirl, which was appropriate because first out was
Jen in a naughty schoolgirl outfit, complete with short plaid skirt and
pigtails.
“Wow, nice choice!” Jake approves, beginning to toy with his hypnotic pendant. Jen spies him.
“Now,
then,” she wags his finger at him, “there are plenty of more girls to
come, so don’t start thinking about casting your spell on the first hot
girl you see.” Jen winces and starts to itch her back. “Honestly, I
don’t see how the other girls can wear these normal clothes; my normal
outfit is so much more comfortable.”
Next to appear was Mina, done up as an authentic witch, with pointy hat and broom.
“A magic girl with darker eyeliner,” Jen quips.
“I
know,” Mina blushes, “when I first started practicing magic, all the
other kids made fun of me and called me a witch, but I always thought
witches were kinda cool. Plus I can practice some new spells.” Mina
twists her expression as she grabs a crooked stick from her side and
points it at a plant, sending out a shadowy bolt of energy. The plant
transforms into a cuddly puppy, stumbling around the floor.
“Excellent,” Jake claps for her, but Mina frowns. “What’s wrong?”
“It was supposed to be a warty toad…”
“Muahaha!”
Everyone turns to see Yuta in a short Lab coat, with a bubbling vile in
one hand and a ray gun in the other. “It’s nothing a little Mad
Scientist can’t fix. I’m a GENIOUS!” She pulls the trigger on the ray
gun and everyone hits the deck. Fortunately for everyone, especially the
puppy, the ray gun is just a toy. Yuta snaps out of character, removing
her safety goggles. “Hey, Professor gave me a fake!”
“That is the
smartest thing the old man has ever done,” Jake says, helping the others
off the floor. Yuta shrugs, and falls back into character.
“Muahahahahaha! Tonight I will take over the wooooorld!”
“That’s all we need,” Jake scoffs, “a Mato Jr.”
Next, Jessica steps into the living room dressed as a sexy nurse. “Who’s ready for their exam?”
The room is quiet.
“Oh, what is it?” Jessica pouts.
Mina is the first to speak up, “Nothing, it’s just…”
“Weren’t you almost hypnotized into a life of hospital slavery a while back?!?!” Jen blurts out.
“Well, yeah,” Jessica fingers her stethoscope, “but I still think the outfit looks really good on me.” She blushes bright red.
“I
won’t argue with that,” Jake stares her up and down, getting a smile
from Jessica and a whack in the face with a pillow from Katia.
“Who’s next?” Yuta claps, “this is fun!”
No one enters.
“What’s the hold up?” Jake shouts.
“I
look silly,” the voice belongs to Diana, as she whimpers from around
the corner. Jen gets up and walks around the corner. She come back
dragging Diana, with the kitty girl clinging to the wall, leaving claw
marks as the much stronger genie has her in tow. On her head are some
bunny ears, along with fake buck teeth and a carrot in her hand.
“That’s not bad at all,” Jake assures her.
“I
know, but,” Diana tries to straighten out the bunny ears around her
normal kitty ears, “it doesn’t quite fit right. I swear it looked better
in the store.” Her tail comes unraveled as she gets more nervous, and
her white puffball tail pops off. “Aww! Heaven help me!”
“You
called?” Dawn descends into the living room, dressed in all white, her
black wings covered in white feathers, a halo suspended above her head.
Everyone’s jaws drop.
“This is out of character for you Dawn,” Jake smirks.
Dawn
leans in close to Jake, “Don’t worry; all the makeup in the world can’t
stop this bad girl.” A button pops off of Dawns top on cue, unable to
hold in her second most powerful orbs. Jake stares at Dawns chest until
she interrupts him. “But check this out.” Dawn lets out a whistle, and
Lucia descends from the ceiling as well, dressed as a demon straight
from hell, horns on her head, and her wings coated in black latex.
“Grrr, I’m evil and stuff.”
Dawn sighs and shakes her head. “I know, she could use a little work, but I’ll keep training her so she’s ready for the party.
“Did all those feathers come with the costume, Dawn?” Jen asks.
“Some
of them did,” Dawn smiles, “the rest… lets just says Sarah is going to
have a rough night’s sleep until she can afford some new pillows.”
“Don’t worry,” a voice straight out of Transylvania answers from around the corner. “I sleep in a coffin from now on.”
Sarah steps into the living room, dressed as a seductive vampiress, complete with deadly looking teeth.
“Nice
outfit,” Dawn congratulates, “if you want, I can teach you the basics
of hypnotic eyes and draining the life from your victims.” Dawn licks
her lips.
“Stop ruining the moment, Dawn,” Sarah breaks from her
character. “You told me to have fun being something that I’m not, so I
did, now back off!”
“Okay, fine, but let me just add you finally look good in something.”
“Dawn…” Sarah turns away from the new “angel” in disgust.
“BOO!” Sarah jumps at the sight of Fawn with a transparent sheet draped over her wearing a long silky dress.
“You almost made me short circuit!” Sarah playfully slaps Fawn the ghost.
“Nice costume, you make a serene ghost,” Jake compliments Fawn.
“Why
thank you,” Fawn replies, “I imagine myself as a long dead ghost of a
woman who never found her true love, as she is curse to wander the globe
singing a song to bring him to her.” Fawn breaks into a soft melody
that immediately causes half the girls in the room to drift into a light
trance.
“Uh, Fawn…” Jake interrupts, pointing at Mina’s glazed look
as she begins to nod off, along with the other younger girls in the
room.
“Oh sorry,” Fawn apologizes, “I got caught up in my character.” The tranced girls slowly wake up from their impromptu naps.
“Well,
I guess that’s it,” Jake gets up from the couch, “I’m just gonna play
some games until the guests start showing up. Great job on the costumes
girls.”
“Oh, we saved the best for last,” Katia exclaims. “Let’s go put ours on!”
“But… I have to… I can’t…” No amount of pleading works as Katia hauls him off to get dressed.
Five minutes later, the rest of the girls sit, anticipating the big reveal, when a knock is heard at the door.
“It’s too early for guests to arrive yet isn’t it?” Diana asks.
“Yeah,
I told everyone to come at sundown,” Jen says, getting up to answer the
door. “Maybe it’s some of your classmates, or some early
trick-or-treaters.”
Jen opens the door and is almost run over by a group of four massive elf guards carrying trumpets.
“Well, come on in…” Jen says, annoyed.
The
guards stand in the living room outside the room Jake and Katia went to
change in. They blow on their horns, causing the girls to grimace and
plug their ears.
“NOW PRESENTING HER ROYAL HIGHNESS QUEEN KATIA AND THE LOVE HER LIFE, THE HANDSOME KING JAKE!!!”
The girls just stare at each other in awe, but are snapped back to reality by more loud horn playing.
The door swings open, and Katia enters the room in all her royal glory, with a less enthusiastic Jake in tow.
The
moment the other girls spot Jake’s crown and purple cape, they burst
into laughter, though Mina and Yuta have jealous looks on their faces.
The
“happy couple” stops in the center of the room and the horns play
loudly again. Katia keeps smiling like a true queen should.
“How long until the party? This crown is heavy…”
A
few hours later, the guests have begun to file in. Everyone has good
costumes, but Jake’s girls’ are the most elaborate, and they are the
life of the party. Jen looks around and sees there aren’t many people
dancing.
“We need a better music selection,” she tells Diana.
“Why
don’t we turn on YotoTV’s Halloween Dance Party Bash?” Diana
recommends, as she adjusts her bunny ears for the hundredth time.
“Good
idea!” Jen grabs the remote and pumps up the volume. People do start
dancing, but the music is not loud enough to reach the entire mansion.
“You know what we need?” Diana motions to the big ‘special’ remote.
“Oh,
no!” Jen shakes her head, “I do not mess with Mato’s inventions,
especially when he’s out of town. You know what happens. Plus, if some
soap commercial comes on we’ll all be taking a shower and it’ll ruin the
whole party.”
“I don’t think there are any commercials, let’s do
it,” Diana grabs the bigger remote, and snaps the normal one into its
slot. “It seemed to work fine the other night, and the stuff on the TV
will add to the already great atmosphere. Now how did he work this
thing?”
Jen snatches it out of her hand, “Not a good start. You don’t even know how to work it.”
“Hey,” Diana whines, “give it back, it’s not that hard.”
“No, now go play with your little friends, the party will pick up on its own.”
Diana stomps off in a huff.
Out on the dance floor, Jake and Katia are at the center of the room. Katia looks elegant as always, Jake just looks tired.
“Are we just going to dance all night?” Jake begs, “I want some candy.”
“We
have to look good for our adoring subjects,” Katia motions to the group
of elf girls that worship the princess everywhere she goes. “Besides,
you should be privileged to dance all night with an elf like me. We are
the greatest dancers in the entire universe.”
“Oh really, well I
could go for a show.” Jake pulls his pendant out, instantly captivating
the princess’s gaze. He sees that her ‘adoring subjects’ have also
fallen under his spell.
“Perfect,” Jake beams, “they do watch your
every move.” He motions for the group of about five elf girls to come
closer. A rock song starts to play. “Now, listen and obey, it’s time to
give me a strip tease and show me if you elf girls truly are the best
dancers in the universe.
The girls immediately begin to peel off
their clothes and grind to the music, and into each other. Katia, always
extra obedient when under Jake’s hypnotic power, dances more
enthusiastically than the others.
Diana sees the giant grin on Jake’s
face as he watches the show and sighs, “at least someone is having
fun.” She mopes about until she sees Yuta playing with a couple of girls
in the corner. Yuta pours liquid from her vile over the head of an
obviously tranced girl in a jester costume.
“What are you doing?” Diana asks.
“Oh, hi, bunny girl,” Yuta winks, “I am experimenting with my mind washing fluid on these lovely girls, muahaha!”
“Really?”
“Well, I had to hypnotize them first, but its fun to play, isn’t it girls?”
“Yes… Mistress Yuta,” the girls chant in unison, eliciting a giggle from the mad scientist in training.
“Hey,”
an idea pops into Diana’s head, “I know a great game you can play…” She
bands down to whisper into Yuta’s ear. Yuta’s smile grows wider.
“Vhat are you doing over here, Jen?” Vampire Sarah asks in her corniest vampire voice.
“Just trying to keep little Diana from the TV,” Jen laughs. “She wants to liven up the party with Mato’s latest invention.”
“Oh, bad idea.”
“That’s what I said; I’ll just hide this thing and be back out there in a second, I need to prepare some more snacks anyway.”
“Okay,”
Sarah says, “I’ll just, transform into a bat to get around this crowd,
good luck making it into the kitchen as a mere mortal.” They laugh as
Sarah attempts to push her way through.
Jen turns around and is met with smiling little Yuta.
“Well,
hello,” Jen greets her, “has our little scientist blown anything up
yet? You have a long way before you can catch up with our professor.”
“I like your costume,” Yuta says. “It reminds me of this game I like to play with all my classmates.”
“And what’s that?” Jen asks.
“It’s
called, ‘Obey Mistress Yuta.’” Jen doesn’t have enough time to realize
she walked right into that one before she is staring into Yuta’s
spiraling eyes.
Diana moves in and grabs the remote from the entranced schoolgirl/genie.
Jen
starts to fight Yuta’s control as her mind knows the danger of what is
about to happen. She is able to blast Yuta with a beam of energy,
breaking the spell. Diana panics and starts hitting any switches on the
remote that she can before Jen can shake off her half-tranced state. The
lights on the device come alive and the machine starts to vibrate as it
did the previous week. Jen does snap out of her stupor and dives
towards Diana. She grabs the remote and tries to wrestle it away from
the cat girl. In the process, they flip more switches and buttons, and
the machine spins faster and faster. Jen gives a strong yank and the
remote flies into the air. It crashes to the ground, breaking into a
hundred pieces, but that doesn’t stop the machine. It spins faster and
sparks begin to fly out.
“Uh… oh…” Jen and Diana speak in unison as a
large burst of energy flies out of the machine. Everyone in the room is
knocked to the ground, followed by surges of energy jumping out of the
machine and traveling like lightning between all of the party’s guests.
When the smoke clears, Diana lifts herself off the ground.
“I feel
funny…” Diana says, placing her hand on her head. She suddenly is
overcome with shock as she grabs her bunny ears and FEELS IT.
“You look funnier,” Jen laughs, “looks like the professor’s machine turned you into a real rabbit.”
“Oh, no!” Diana cries, “I liked being a kitty girl.”
“Guys, what happened?” Fawn’s voice echoes around them.
“What the… Fawn where are you?” Jen asks looking around.
“Here,”
Fawn materializes right in front of the two girls, barely visible and
floating in mid-air.” Diana sticks her hand right through Fawn.
“I think this machine just made all our costumes REAL!” Diana exclaims, “what are we gonna do?”
“I’ll
start by getting this thing out of here,” Jen motions towards the
machine, whish is still whirring and flashing. “It must be keeping this
reality going. I’ll just warp it to the garbage dimension.” Jen
concentrates on her magic but nothing happens, “Oh, no.”
“What’s wrong,” Fawn pleads, “I can’t continue my career if no one can see me on stage!”
“I’m stuck as a silly mortal schoolgirl, my genie powers are gone.”
“This is bad…” Bunny Diana states the obvious as her little tale wiggles.
Katia and the elf girls get up off the floor, and stand around unsure of what happened to them… or their clothes!
“What’s going on?” Katia asks. Dawn swoops down and dusts off the princes and her followers. “Dawn what are you doing?”
“It looked like you needed help; I’m just doing my job, like a good guardian angel.”
Lucia then steps in and blasts Dawn with a fireball, “Take that, you goody two shoes!”
“Back
ye demon,” Dawn’s hands glow bright white, “feel my holy power as I
send you back to the hell whence you came!” She blasts Lucia across the
room. They each take flight and began to tussle in the ceiling.
Katia
looks around the room and notices more people acting like their
costumes. She sees that she and the elf girls are normal, since they
were… stripping?
“Jake!”
“Ug,” Jake rises from the floor. “Who is
that? What happened to my queen?” Katia’s eyes grow wide. She spies her
costume lying in a pile on the floor and quickly dresses as quickly as
possible.
“Right here, dearest.” Katia smiles demurely and takes her King’s hand.
“For
a moment there I thought I lost you,” Jake speaks a few octaves lower
and begins to dance elegantly with his Queen. “Now, where were we?” They
continue dancing, Katia smiles and lays her head on Jake’s shoulder.
It’s a dream come true, until she sees Jen, Fawn, and what must be Diana
in bunny form trying to stop the professors new machine. If that’s what
caused this, Jake will go back to normal once they figure out how to
fix it. How can she take advantage of this situation? She searches the
room and spots a ‘priest’ obviously feeling lost among the Frankenstein
and Wolf man monsters in the room.
“Your Highness,” Katia whispers into Jake’s ear, “what say we renew our royal vows, it’s such a wonderful night.”
“While I could dance with you all night, my sweet,” King Jake replies, “I would be honored. Your wish is my command.”
“About time,” Katia thought, “I was in charge.” Katia pulls her King towards the priest.
Jen
wrestles with the remote, trying to reassemble it. “I can’t do this… I
haven’t even taken algebra yet… where did that come from?”
“It seems
like our personalities are somewhat effected by the machine as well,”
Fawn mentions, “I even have a longing for a lost love, just like the
character I had in mind when I created this costume, but I can fight it I
think, because I am aware of the illusion.”
Dawn and Fawn fall from the sky almost landing on the girls as they try to work on the machine.
“Some
are definitely, more affected than others, I would say,” Diana looks at
the ironic angel vs. demon battle going on before them. “I’m glad they
don’t fight like that in real life.”
“Vould you like to join me vor a drink?”
“Oh
Sarah, cut it out this is no time for…” Jen turns to see Sarah drinking
blood from the throat of a blonde YHS cheerleader. Her eyes are blood
red. “Sarah, your eyes…”
Sarah smiles at Jen and drops the drained cheerleader on the floor. Jessica immediately rushes over to the fallen girl.
“We
need medical attention here, STAT!” Jessica calls out and all the
doctors and nurses at the party come running, “Someone, apply pressure
to the bleeding.” Jessica tears material off her shirt, revealing more
skin, and uses it as a bandage on the girls neck wound.
Sarah moves
in on Jen. Jen tries to run, but Sarah transforms into a bat and appears
in front of her, transforming back into the Vampiress. “Looook into my
eyes, Jen darling.” Jen can’t help it. Her gaze is even more powerful
than Yuta’s. Jen quickly slips into a trance.
“How may I serve you, my Mistress?” Jen kneels before Sarah.
“I
like you,” Sarah punctures her own wrist and places it on Jen’s mouth.
“Drink, and be one with me.” Jen does as she is commanded and her eyes
turn blood red as well.”
“What is going on here?” Angel Dawn stands
before the two vampires, a beaten Demon Lucia lies in the corner. “Seems
like more evil for me to fight!”
“Mmmm, I really vant a taste of this one,” Sarah smiles, a bit of her true self peeking through, “look into my eyes Dawn.”
Dawn, like Jen, cannot resist Sarah’s hypnotic power. “Yes, Mistress Sarah, what is your command?”
“Just
sit back, relax, and see what it feels like to be drained!” Dawn smiles
and closes her eyes as Sarah and Jen bite into her.
“This is insane, what do we do?” Diana asks the ghostly Fawn. Before Fawn can reply the royal guards blow their horns.
“HEAR YE, HEAR YE! ALL HAIL THE KING AND QUEEN AS THEY RENEW THEIR WEDDING VOWS!”
“Oh no, Jake would not do that if he wasn’t under the influence of his costume,” Fawn says. “This is getting out of hand.”
“What about Katia?” Is she okay?”
Fawn looks at the smile on the princess’s face as the priest begins to read the vows.
“I
think she is just fine, but those elven vows are binding forever. We
don’t have much time. We need to find someone with the knowledge to shut
down that machine.”
“But the professor is on the other side of the
world,” Diana nervously taps her large rabbit’s foot on the ground, “who
would know as much about the machine as him?”
“Yuta,” Fawn deduces, “I haven’t seen her around, she must be in the lab, let’s go.”
They head towards the lab, when they hear a cackling from above.
“I’m going to get you, my pretties!”
Mina,
the teenage witch, buzzes by them on her broomstick, knocking Diana to
the ground. She flies around the room zapping random partiers into warty
toads with her witching stick. One of Katia’s guards is zapped into a
toad as well, starling the priest.
“Don’t worry about it; nothing shall stand in the way of joining with my true love forever.” Katia beams.
“Rejoining, dear.” Jake politely corrects.
“Sure,”
Katia says through her smiling teeth. Out of the corner of her eye, she
sees Diana and Fawn dealing with a dive bombing Witch Mina. “Let’s
speed this up a bit.”
“Hurry, we’re almost there!” Fawn yells. Mina’s
dark magic passes right through her, but Diana has to dodge, using all
her rabbit skills, leaving a trail of innocent bystanders in toad form
behind her.
“I call on roots to grow and clasp, through that door
they shall not pass!” Mina chants as they are about to reach the door to
the lab. Strong roots burst out of the floor blocking their way. They
stop as Mina makes a bee-line for the two, trapped in a corner.
“You can do it, don’t worry about… *ribbit!*” Fawn is shocked as poor Diana tries out her third animal form of the day.
“Now, for you, my sweet specter,” Mina hovers above Fawn, “a special astral containment spell.”
“I
don’t think so…” before Mina can start another incantation, Fawn lets
out a powerful scream that knocks Mina out of the sky. “I still have a
killer voice.” Fawn quickly passes through the solid, root-covered door
to the lab on the other side.
“Yuta,” Fawn yells. “We need your newfound expertise to fix this blasted reality machine!”
“Muahahahahahahahaha,”
Yuta lets out her best mad scientist laugh yet. “I’m a genius! Why
would I fix the reason I have all this power?”
“Don’t make me…”
“What? Yell, ‘boo?’” Yuta laughed again. “What can you do? You’re just a ghost!”
Yuta
rears her head back to laugh some more, as Fawn gets a determined look
on her face. She flies straight for her and right into her open mouth.
Yuta stops laughing and stands shocked for a second and then begins to
twitch, finally falling to the ground. She gets up and dusts herself
off.
“Now I possess your body AND your genius intellect!” Fawn can
hear Yuta cry out inside her head, but she ignores it as she grabs some
hypnotic headbands and a toolbox, and rushes out the secret exit.
“How
does it feel to be completely drained Dawn?” Sarah whispers into her
victim’s ear. “Maybe if you were nicer to me, I would turn you, but I
think it’s time to finish this…”
Fawn, in Professor Yuta’s body,
slaps a tiara on Sarah’s head and then gets one on Jen before she can
react. The two vampires stand there like statues, awaiting commands,
letting Dawn fall into a pile on the floor. Jessica and her medical crew
are quickly on the case. Fawn grabs the remote and begins to work on
it. Katia sees her, and stops the ceremony for a brief moment.
“Guards,” Queen Katia commands, “stop that girl; she is going to ruin my special day!”
“Oh darling,” Jake speaks softly to his love, “nothing can spoil…”
“Put a sock in it,” she turns to the priest, “step on it, Padre!”
Fawn is almost done with the remote when she sees three royal guards, and one determined frog, heading her way.
“I
hope this works,” she pulls out Yuta’s blaster and aims for the guards.
One by one she zaps them, leaving them dazed and in a trance next to
the equally tranced out vampire girls. “Wow, it’s a hypno ray-gun. What
are the odds?” Fawn goes back to repairing the remote, fixing the last
broken pieces in record genius time.
“Do you, Katia, take Jake to be your husband and King throughout all eternity, until the last star fades in this universe?”
“I do!” Katia blurts out, half paying attention, after watching her guards get owned by Fawn’s ray-gun.
“And
do you, Jake, take Katia as your wife and Queen, totally binding, for
the rest of existence, without any possible loophole to get out, no
matter what state you were in at the time… until the last star fades in
the universe?”
Fawn flips every switch into the proper position, and presses the power button. A charge surges through the room.
“I…”
Jake stutters. He looks at Katia’s smiling face and then the priest.
Then he knows something is wrong. “I agree to nothing!!!” Jake screams
like a girl and runs away, realizing how close he was to losing his
bachelorhood.
Katia stands at the ‘altar’ and starts to cry, “Noooooooo!”
Two Weeks Later…
“Noooooooo!”
“Is she ever going to get over that?” Jake asks Fawn who has now been back to normal since that night like everyone else.
“She
was so close to her dream,” Fawn looks at Katia crying in the corner.
Katia looks up and shoots an evil glare at her. “I’m just sorry I saved
the day, but lost a fan.”
“She’ll get over it,” Jake says, “Even Dawn gave props to Sarah for almost killing her that night.”
“Noooooooo!”
Jake and Fawn wince as Katia cries out again.
THE END
